The NB Association of Nursing Homes – 2010 Annual General Meeting May 12-13, 2010

The New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes is an association that represents all of the 62 not for profit nursing homes in the province. Michael Thornhill, Regional Manager, Atlantic Regional Office, and Kelly Tilley, Underwriter, Atlantic Regional Office, represented Ecclesiastical at The New Brunswick Association of Nursing Homes 2010 Annual General Meeting held in Moncton, NB from May 12-13th.  The theme of this year’s meeting was “Celebrate Life”, chosen by the Association to emphasize that it feels good to live and work in their nursing homes, which welcome 4% of New Brunswick’s citizens 65 years of age and older and who require long term care.  The 2-day AGM featured education sessions, recognition of volunteers and nursing home staff, music and entertainment, and keynote speakers from the fields of medicine, literature, business, and government. Atlantic Region provided risk control information to the delegates and look forward to attending next year’s meeting which will be held in Saint John, New Brunswick.
