CASL/ACRA (Canadian Alliance of Seniors Living) Conference June 17-19, 2010

The Canadian Alliance of Seniors Living is a newly-formed alliance created by four founding provincial associations: the Alberta Senior Citizens’ Housing Association (ASCHA); British Columbia Senior Living Association (BCSLA); Ontario Retirement Communities Associations (ORCA); and, Regroupement Québécois Des Résidences Pour Ainés. Saskatchewan, Manitoba and the Atlantic provinces did not have Retirement Living industry associations present, but there were delegates present with operations in these provinces.

Betty Dietz, Regional Manager, Western Regional Branch, was invited to attend this inaugural conference and represented Ecclesiastical through a sponsorship and, as a delegate, she attended all sessions and workshops. The format of the conference was one of networking and knowledge sharing. Fire and life safety was a key topic on the agenda, and we were very pleased to have this opportunity to provide our risk control materials and to exchange information and expertise with delegates from across Canada.
