We are delighted to join the small cadre of winners and to be in the company of some of Canada’s most highly respected organizations. This is the 4th consecutive year that we have received this prestigious designation in recognition of our commitment to attract and retain young employees and develop the next generation of insurance leaders and professionals.
We are also very proud that our Business Intern Program continues to attract young people who are looking to build careers in the commercial insurance industry. Ecclesiastical Business Interns are given the opportunity to work in every area of the business, to “learn the ropes” from other employees and from our leadership team whose members serve as guides and mentors. As part of their rotation, Interns are also placed with non–profit organizations so that they may share their skills and give back to the community in a tangible way. This unique approach enables young employees to become well-rounded professionals, strong business leaders and good corporate citizens.
Canada’s Top Employers for Young People is an editorial competition organized by the Canada’s Top 100 Employers project. A national competition, it is open to organizations of all sizes in both the public and private sectors. In order to assess the programs developed specifically for younger employees, the Editorial Committee looks at a broad range of criteria. They include hiring practices, training and mentoring programs, tuition assistance for continuing education or professional designations, and career development and retention.
