Jacinta Whyte

S. Jacinta Whyte, MC Inst. M, ACII

Deputy Group Chief Executive, Ecclesiastical Insurance, and General Manager & Chief Agent for Canada

Jacinta is General Manager and Chief Agent of the Canadian branch of Ecclesiastical Insurance, a position she has held since October 2003. In June 2013, she was appointed Deputy Group Chief Executive of Ecclesiastical Insurance Office plc, by Mark Hews, Group Chief Executive Officer. She was also appointed an Executive Director of the Ecclesiastical Group Board and a Member of the Board of Ansvar, Ecclesiastical’s subsidiary in Australia. In addition to leading her Canadian team, Jacinta is responsible for the Group’s general insurance operations worldwide, covering the UK, Ireland and Australia.

With over 35 years of property and casualty industry experience in Canada and Ireland, including executive positions, Jacinta has a proven track record in developing underwriting and marketing strategies, and building operational excellence in personal and commercial insurance. She has represented the insurance industry on both provincial government and industry bodies.

Steve Lovisek

Steve Lovisek, CA

Chief Financial Officer

Steve joined Ecclesiastical in March 2005. He has a Bachelor of Business Management from St Francis Xavier University and a Chartered Accountant designation.

Steve brings over 15 years of experience in a variety of roles, including that of VP Finance and Corporate Secretary at a large property and casualty insurance company. His experience also includes a senior role in Reinsurance and Strategic Initiatives, private practice and an audit role at a well-established accounting firm.

Colin Robertson

Colin Robertson, ACII, CRM

Vice President, Operations and Risk Control

Colin Robertson joined the Canadian team in 2008 from Ecclesiastical, United Kingdom where he held progressively senior positions. Colin brings over 13 years of experience in management, underwriting, risk control and business development to his role. As Vice President, he is responsible for the growth and evolution of the organization’s risk management practice and for developing innovative, proactive solutions for customers and broker partners. Colin leads a national team of experienced and qualified risk professionals who work locally with customers. He is a Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional designation from the Chartered Insurance Institute and holds a National General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.

Jane Williamson

Jane Williamson, AICB, FCIP, CRM

Vice President, Claims

Jane joined Ecclesiastical in 2006 as Team Leader for Claims, having gained in-depth claims, business and marketing experience in progressively senior positions within the general insurance and financial services sector. Subsequently promoted to the position of Vice-President, National Programs, Jane led her team to deliver customized, innovative solutions to a wide range of organizations across Canada.

As VP Claims Services, Jane is responsible for the development and implementation of Ecclesiastical’s claims strategy, leading the company’s national team of claims professionals, and delivering the kind of empathetic claims service that has made Ecclesiastical the first-choice specialist insurance company.

Jane holds a Diploma in Business Administration with a Major in Finance from St. Lawrence College. She is an Associate of the of the Institute of Business Bankers (AICB) and holds both Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) and Canadian Risk Management Certificate (CRM) professional designations.

Lorna McIntosh

Lorna McIntosh, BA, CHRM

Vice President Human Resources

Lorna McIntosh has an Honours Bachelor of Arts in English and Bachelor Degree in Political Sciences from the University of Toronto.

Lorna has over 15 years of progressive HR experience having worked in such large corporate environments as Bank of Montréal, Nesbitt Burns, Ernst & Young, Marsh, and Microsoft. Her career has been distinguished by a personal dedication to maximizing organizational efficiency and empowering others to succeed.
