A very special corporate sponsorship
Recognizing that youth are our strongest hope for the future, Ecclesiastical supports and sponsors programs that deliver lifelines to young people in crisis. We are a proud national sponsor of Kids Help Phone, a counseling, information, and referral service that provides professional support to young people who are experiencing difficult and often overwhelming problems — trouble with parents and guardians, bullying, dealing with loss and grief, questions about sexual identity and thoughts of suicide, among others.
Ecclesiastical is proud to have been a joint funding partner of Gender-Bread, an innovative and timely online resource developed for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered and Questioning (LGBTQ) youth, launched in June 2014. Our support helped Kids Help Phone create customized, interactive tools, as well as enhanced web content about sexual orientation and gender identity. It also funded in-depth training to ensure that counselors are familiar with clinical best practices in this evolving area. By providing practical information, tips, and tools, as well as forums where young people can ask questions and post messages, Kids Help Phone can now increase its support of this vulnerable and all-too-often underserved community.
Ecclesiastical’s partnership with Kids Help Phone is a natural fit for our company and builds on efforts already supported through our owners, Allchurches Trust, in the field of youth suicide prevention.
Kids Help Phone continues to lead the way in Canada and is internationally recognized for innovative programs designed to safeguard the emotional health and wellbeing of young people. For more information, visit www.kidshelpphone.ca.
